This makes sense. Not only is the team full but they have some guys in the minors who very well could be here next year, top guys like Crawford, like Painter, if the light goes on Abel etc. Marchan is another one. The offseason is fluid right now. I think they are willing to move Bohm or Rojas or Marsh or even Ranger and possibly a guy like Banks in the bullpen. But what is the next move after that.
We can go into the finite details that we see with Bohm as to what his value is. I will say this, he is 28 yrs old, has two more years of control. Was an All Star last year and generally is considered a top 10 third basemen in baseball. He also was a very high draft pick. What is that worth? Probably more than any of us think because we tend to underrate our players

I saw on another board or X or one of those that the Rangers were interested. Would a deal centered around Bohm and Wyatt Langford make some sense. Probably Texas like Josh Smith in the super sub roll. They have Evan Carter whom they like a ton (as they do with Langford) to take over for Langford. Maybe the Phillies in add in a young Pitcher and they can get young AAA third baseman Justin Foshe to add into the mix at 3rd base. I see some capability there.
On the flip side I don't see is with the Kansas City Royals another team who is rumored to be in on Bohm. Unless you like Brady Singer, but he is exactly what I don't want in this type of deal. A 28yr old back end of the rotation guy. I would just as soon have Painter, Abel, Walker, Johnson, and other compete for the 5th spot than get a Singer. Unless we are talking about a prospect package only which is not what I think the Phillies want, I don't see the fit.
