I get that. Given the current snapshot of the pharm, and namely what talent projects to help bolster the major league club when, there's a part of me that would like to see them add a significant piece (Bryant, Baez, e.g.) they plan on retaining beyond this season. This team is still struggling to be a .500 club whose ceiling currently looks relatively similar in 2022 - there's hope Bohm fares better at the plate, the bullpen improves (yearly battle), Nola could be more consistent, maybe Howard/Falter/Suarez helps the back of the rotation, etc. - and no significant talent in the pipeline arriving before 2023/24.
