NBA Legend Dolph Schayes passed away. He was 87.

Sad to see. We never got to benefit from his play when the Nats became the Sixers since his career was, for all intents and purposes, finished. When he was with the Nats in Syracuse and they played the Warriors, he was a tough opponent. Good shooter; got his boards and could move up and down the floor. Between Larry Costello, Red Kerr, Al Bianchi and him, they could give the best of their opponents a long night.

May be the only guy to have him and his son play at least 16 seasons (his son played 18).

The combination of player, coach and head of referee's will probably never be duplicated.

12 time All-Star and he was my Grandfather's favorite player.

A 6'7" Center... now that is a little short for a shooting guard.

Globetrotter, Meadowlark Lemon passed away, he was 83. I loved the Globetrotters of his era as a kid, with him and Curly Neal, they were so much fun.

While Henderson is remembered most for that one at-bat with the Red Sox, pretty much the rest of his 14 year ML career was evenly split between Seattle and Oakland (where he arguably enjoyed his best seasons for those powerhouse Athletics teams of 1988-92).

Meadowlark Lemon., arguably the greatest Harlem Globetrotter of all time has died today at age 83. He was an NBA talent who chose to entertain in basketball and we were all richer for the experience if you saw him play. He was amazing.

He matched up perfectly with my childhood, I probably saw the Harlem Globetrotters 4-5 times at Hershey Park Arena when I was 7-11. Guy was just very, very funny in a silly way and a truly GREAT entertainer for kids. Isnt it funny how these guys traveled the world, had amazing skill and you never once heard of them getting in trouble or causing a problem? Every athlete and entertainer should strive to be these guys, they just seemed to be having fun, and even if they were a little frustrated in not having an NBA career they never let it stop them from being the absolute best at what they did.

Very, very funny guy who will be fondly remembered by millions of "kids" my age.

Lemmy Kilmister, who once said of his band, "if Motörhead moved next door, your lawn would die", has passed away at 70 years old. Once a roadie for Jimi Hendrix, he lived a pretty cool life. The world is a worse off place without him, a true character.

Being a bit of a traditionalist, I enjoyed seeing the unis with stirrup socks in this clip. I've never gotten used to pant legs to the ground, almost tripping the player.

Actor Wayne Rogers died on Thursday from complications from pneumonia, his rep exclusively tells ET. He was 82 years old.

Rogers, who hailed from Alabama, is best known for playing the role of Captain “Trapper” John McIntyre in the classic television series M*A*S*H from 1972-1975.

Semi-famous? That's like saying water is a little bit wet. David Bowie got me through some pretty tough times. It was one of his more obscure songs (that was made famous by another singer) that I turned in the '70s and '80 to first when I was low from his David Live lp (recorded at our own Tower Theater). While he will always be the Starman to me, it was "All the Young Dudes" that helped me hold on.

I agree, the guy was really famous and really good -- I saw Bowie in 1990 at the Spectrum and he did his Greatest Hits tour for the last time and to his credit that was really the last time. Really good show, I remember he had the background where you could be behind the stage and a couple of times you could see he was back there smoking (part of the act and I am sure his vice). Great artist!
