I don't think this game is called an "official" no-hitter, but Perez threw 5 no-hit innings in a rain-shortened victory against the Phils on 9/24/1988. I believe this is the last time the Phils were held hitless in an official game.

You could have given me 200 guesses and I couldn't have told you Alex Madrid (who?) started that game for the Phils.
I lived in Atlanta when he missed a start because he couldnt find the stadium (he was on 285, which is a loop, the stadium is NOT on 285). His comment was something along the lines of "stupid road just goes around and around". Sad part is he had been with the team for quite awhile by then, no one in Atlanta was suprised when he entered rehab a couple years later.
RIP.

I saw the headline that Jazz great Dave Brubeck died at the age of 92, and my first thought was " I didn't know the Utah Jazz were around that long."
I've spent my lifetime listening to Brubeck play the piano. He was a good one. RIP
I was fortunate to meet Brubeck and see him play in Bethlehem about 3 years ago. It's an experience I'll never forget. The man was a jazz legend. RIP.
