Wowww. Always a shock when you remember a guy playing. I recall the Phils having an interest in him - he was known for being able to turn on anyone's fastball. Suicide is one of those things that is so unimaginable yet intriguing as to what could have lead to such a tragedy.

The mother of my best friend in grade school was a huge Patti Page fan. All these years later I can still sing a verse of "The Wayward Wind" which I probably haven't heard in almost 50 years. Great song.
