One of my favorite novelists Anne McCaffrey. I truly love science/fiction and fantasy and she wrote she really amazing books. Loved her Dragonriders of Pern Series.

Never heard of Harry Morgan? One of my favorite character actors. In addition to being Colonel Potter, he was Joe Friday on Dragnet and was the Judge in the fine movie about the Scopes Monkey Trial "Inherit the Wind".

Besides, who wouldn't love the ultraliberal TV series "Mash"?

I loved M*A*S*H. Probably my favorite show of all time. Unless TV baseball is a "show".

Well, I recognized one of the three - and I'd already seen the Harry Morgan story, which made more than the obits (e.g., major online news outlets ran it). The other two... not so much. I recognized Drift Away when I heard it, but had no idea who the singer was.

For the record, these three weren't posted by VfK (Vote for Kalas), but by kalasfan. Not the same person.

Lawman, you never heard the song "Drift Away?" How about "The In Crowd" from 1965? You never watched M*A*S*H? You never channel-surfed and ran across that guy sitting there with swimsuit model Cindy Margolis pitching some silly scheme about making thousands of dollars running "one tiny ad in a newspaper?" I just post them when I run across them and I only post ones I figure many here would know.

R.I.P. Harry Morgan. There was a time that I would come home and watch M*A*S*H every day after school. I remember after Henry Blake left (McLean Stevenson, also R.I.P.), I didn't think anyone could replace him...but Harry Morgan brought such gentleness and humor to that role. An amazing actor.

Read a small blurb last week that Alan Sues from Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In had passed away.
