I cannot say I didn't expect Kimbrel to struggle tonight. He never should have been pitching tonight. I think they had to use Walker and Lorenzen in relief to have much chance to win this game. I have to put this on Thomson.

Honestly they are all the same. Thomson is one of the best and most progressive bullpen managers we've ever seen IMO, but at the end of the day they all still turn into Jim Fregosi with Mitch or Charlie with Lidge in 2009 or multiple managers with Hector. Which was always the flaw in the Kimbrel signing really. Not that he couldn't help - he did - but that he'd still get that treatment.
