Using xofogâs list, here is a satirical look at the Negadelphian reaction to this weekendâs draft (with Fran Duffyâs big-board rank in brackets):
31 LB/Edge Jihaad Campbell Alabama -- LB/edge without a true position with a bum shoulder [23]
64 S Andrew Mukuba Texas -- overrated safety with one year at the position who is too small to play the position in the NFL [82]
111 DT Ty Robinson Nebraska -- senior-citizen D-tackle with one year of production, played 5 years of college footballl previously and was not noticed[119]
145 CB Mac McWilliams UCF -- overdrafted slot CB who is too small for the outside but has better tape there, bad tackler [147]
161 LB Smael Mondon Jr. Georgia -- finesse off-ball linebacker who has trouble reading plays [153]
168 C Drew Kendall Boston College -- probably a center-only prospect with short arms and limited quickness who doesnât show power in his game [185]
181 QB Kyle McCord Syracuse -- one-season wonder QB who is prone to interceptions and struggles under pressure with bad decisions and limited athleticism [215]
191 OT Myles Hinton Michigan -- huge tackle who did not enjoy football until very recently and is inexperienced, inconsistent, unaggressive, and not strong [UNR]
207 OT Cameron Williams Texas -- huge, injury-plagued project tackle who has not played much football and has trouble with technique (fell because of foot injury) [60]
209 Edge Antwaun Powell-Ryland Virginia Tech -- very productive edge with a lot of moves who was available late because of slow get-off and lack of explosion; feasted on weak opposition [UNR]
Being serious, I love Campbell, Mondon, Kendall and Powell-Ryland. The project tackles are good lottery tickets where they were drafted, and if Mukuba can put on some good weight (about 10-15 lbs) heâs a really talented, ball-hawking safety. Robinson and McCord were among the most productive college players in 2024 so itâs worth seeing why. McWilliams is a tough, confident, aggressive corner who might have been mis-cast as a slot because of his size.
