Referees with what I think is a bad call on the 12 v 12 play. The moment the Packers had 12 in the huddle it should have been a penalty.

I believe it is still illegal substitution by lining up in a formation of 12. Technically the refs have to give the defense time after any substitution.

The defense can have 20 on the field as long as they don’t at the snap. The offense cannot do that, it’ll they have more than 11 it is a penalty before the ball is even snapped (I think)

Defense is still terrible so far. 4 drives, 4 scores (2 very short fields).

Doing some good things, but still not making the plays to shut down the other team.

If he stays healthy pretty clear Baun intends to lead the team in tackles. He is just making play after play in the middle of the field.

End of this game looks like the first half of the season last year. Doing what is needed to win a close game. Good or bad.

Saquon was great what a difference he makes, a really solid running back against a good defense. Multidimensional back shows what he can really do with a very good offensive line. Btw I really like the black and white uniforms. Hope they consider this uniform again, for a home or away game. G' nite all!

One other thing:

Yeah, he can't cover worth a damn and that is a problem in today's game, but Nakobe Dean made some plays. He also got trucked by a pulling TE because he's too small and he's also not too fast, but...he made some plays.

He may not ever be a full time starter, but he's a useful player and certainly not the scapegoat that a lot of fans make him out to be.

I think you forgot Baun the linebacker who looks like the real deal tackled Wilson GBay QB @end of game. Reed Blankenship who is definitely one of the best tacklers on the team. Can't wait for Cooper DeJean and Devin White to play too. CJGJ too early to pass judgement imo, Gainwell looked okay, you have to give Saquon a break during games, 17 games is a long season. Lane Johnson is like Jason Kelce a stud. I see a long career (another 5 yrs to me). Jalyx Hunt is a work in progress, may see him spot in certain situ's. Maddox yeah we'll see, but he did get beat a few times in coverage. Slow start but it's all about how you finish. Entertaining game which the NFL hoped for and they got it!

McCollum made some plays broke up a few passes. Btw the GB cheese head fans booing in a country which doesn't boo an opposing team. They might whistle esp on soccer penalties not called for eg, and a sing a long team chant, but the GB fans were a utter disgrace. That's the real only minus to the game.

How can anyone watch this game and conclude Gainwell can't play? He only had a few touches, and he broke/slipped three tackles for a first down on one of them. He looked good In my humble opinion. Lane Johnson made all the plays except when he got beat on the neutral zone violation that wasn't called. Nolan Smith actually was good in coverage, but couldn't really get pressure.

Also, what exactly happened in this game to lead to the conclusion that Shipley CAN play? He wasn't on the field enough for any conclusion to be drawn.

I think he had one carry and one target (which he caught). He's fine and will be needed to give Barkley some rest.

Probably the worst start you could imagine, but a good win. It's tough to put too much stock in first games and even more so when they are playing out of the country and on bad turf. Quinyon Mitchell looked very good for a first game. I do agree that Maddox didn't.

Not at all the worst start I could imagine. Green Bay certainly had a worse start. The field was awful. The officiating questionable, especially missing the multiple guys in defensive interior line jumping, resulting in Hurts being swamped after Eagles O-line thought play was over. Since the Eagles starters didn't play in preseason, I expected some ragged play.

I meant to start the game. An interception and a fumble to start the first quarter of the season.

The first quarter definitely was awful on offense, although I thought the defense played very well in that quarter, better than they played later in game.
