Eagles opened 21-day practice windows for S Sydney Brown and WR Ainias Smith. They have 21 days to make a decision to either activate them to the 53-man roster or shut them down for the rest of the season.

Eagles release LB Devin White, signed to be the starter, never really got on the field. I liked the signing, but something obviously didn’t click.

So right now it looks like Deshaun Watson is the worst trade / signing of a QB in history.

Hopefully at 4pm Fangio’s “let them throw it and we will try and tackle them” defense doesn’t make it look like maybe he isn’t that bad.

Any chance that Fangio figured out it is NOT the All Pro game and he is allowed to blitz when the DL can’t get any pressure. Does Carter decide to try today? Does Huff play? If so, does anyone notice?

Browns 25th against the run, 8th against the pass. Run the ball, right?

First play, 5 yard run. Then we go away from it immediately and create a 3 and out.

Eagles with an actual blitz on 3rd and 9. Guess what? Punt. (Although Amari Cooper was open for the first down, but pressure forced a bad throw.)

CJGJ with one of his first pass breakups of the year. Sadly, the person he stopped from catching it was Q Mitchell, who I think thought about hitting him.

Taking a timeout on 3rd and one with the clock already stopped only to take a sack forcing a long field goal attempt that is blocked and run back for a touchdown is a good analogy for how this week has felt in general.

Is Sirianni coaching the 2nd half for his job? Losing at home to the Browns would be very bad. He hasn’t done his usual stupid ultra risk 4th downs, but the blocked FG made the game a tie. He continues to send a completely useless player on the field (Huff), he still seems to not be able to hold his coordinators accountable (last season was ridiculous), he just isn’t making winning moves when they are needed.

Don’t get me wrong, I think his record has earned him the rest of the year, I just wonder if the Eagles Management is getting to the point where they have made a decision. This season is obviously not what was expected, the team just is not as good as it seems they should be. We have players, but some of them seem to just be on the field, very reactive instead of proactive.

Brandon Graham with a play for points in game 200. He stayed where he was suppose to be to shut down a sweep, essentially a sack, just not of a QB. Forces a long FG (missed).

I think at the start of the year we thought he was an assistant coach and a questionable use of a roster spot, especially since we lost a young drafted DL. He is not only our best DE, but honestly the only one. (Ojama is kinda both DE/DT)

Watch carefully the long TD to Smith on the crossing route. Smith caught it and ran, but the play was by:

Jack Stoll. (I had to slow it down 4 times to catch who it was, I could be wrong)

He had a GREAT PICK. Didn’t touch the defender covering Smith, but made him almost stop. Great, great play.

Cleveland down 7. 7 minutes to go… why is Nakobe Dean on the field? He can’t cover.

Yea, a win is a win, but it required some good plays at the end to beat one of the 2 worst teams in the league.

Even in the end, the “final” real play is a bomb to Brown, a low percentage throw. Why? Dumb play call. We just need a few yards, not 40. It worked, but it could have been a disaster. Throwing the ball downfield that far increases the chance of a pick and drops the chance of a completion.

We once again went away from Barkley in the 2nd half.

In the last drive for the inept Browns, our pass rush once again disappeared.

There is clearly a lot wrong with the Eagles and maybe even more wrong with the Browns but that team won 11 games last year and has good coaches on paper. Their record this early in the season doesn't make them a patsy.

Nick is gonna get himself fired for his demeanor before the play calls or playing time calls.

Will be interesting to hear who called the pass.

Next three games are Giants, Bengals, Jags. Giants are better than people think, Bengals are scary good on offense, and Jags are pretty awful. Got to win 2 of those 3.

The Browns haven’t been able to stop the run all year, that was their fatal flaw (other than Watson generally). They are actually pretty good against the pass, and of course were very good last year. Why we went away from the run (again) is a bit of a mystery. I don’t think Barkley’s 2 bone headed plays were the reason.

For some reason we just throwing deep fades, we started the game with 3 of them on the first 2 drives (both 3 and outs) and kept going back to it. It did work a couple times, but it was our least successful play. Every time we threw a crossing throw or a flare to the TE it went for 20+ (almost). The play calling needs to significantly improve to compete against one of the teams that isn’t in the bottom 2 in the NFL (along with Carolina).
