Wilson & a 5th to Denver for 2 firsts, 2 seconds, a 4th and 3 players. Absolutely bonkers. So glad Roseman did not outbid that offer.

Packers, allegedly, backed up the Brinks truck for Rodgers at age 38. Rodgers is now stating the contract details are "inaccurate". Enjoy more drama and falling short, Green Bay!

Kyler Murray, meanwhile, has apparently stopped his temper tantrum and put the Cardinal logos back on his social media profiles.

For Lock, Fant, Shelby Harris, two 1sts, two 2nds plus other stuff? That's pretty steep.

Also, Rodgers signed @ 4/$200M with $153M guaranteed and Davante Adams will be tagged.

Even with Rodgers signing, Wilson going to the AFC opens up the NFC even more.

The veteran WR ffee agent market for the Eagles is drying up quickly. Adams, Godwin, and Williams are all off the board. Beckham and Gallup both suffered late ACL injuries, so they will miss most if not all of next season. Brown is a head case. Robinson is probably the biggest name out there now, along with Cooper who might be cut. The fringe guys are Kirk, Smith-Shuster and Chark.

I think our new #2 WR will be picked with one of our first round draft picks. I don't want a FA WR. The good ones are very costly and many of them are team-wrecking egotists. With cap space due to a very low-cost QB squad and 3 mid-first-round plus a full set of other draft slots, the Eagles are poised to take a significant step forward this season, if Howie handles this right.

They have 2 WRs, they need to draft one and sign one. A veteran WR would be good to have, instead of just a rookie, a sophomore and a 2020 2018 6th round pick. Robinson might not be a bad signing, we did okay last time we signed a Bears free agent WR.

I was in the Miami airport this afternoon waiting for a Philly flight when the Wilson news broke. I almost fell to my knees in thankfulness that one was off the market for Howie to blow this draft. only one more shoe to drop...Watson. They wouldn't be that foolish to trade for him, would they? That bronco price was outlandish. That Ould have killed the eagles for a number of years. if Howie gives up to #1's and a 2 for cousin's, I'll never watch another eagles game. Also, just saw the RPhils lineup for today. I'll drive across town opening night if this is the case. Nice lineup.

Both of the Athletic guys reckon Wilson didn't want to to come to Philly, and that the trade price was fair.

Berman: If the package was two first-rounders, two second-rounders, Hurts and two starting-caliber players (you said Sanders, so I’ll put Andre Dillard in there, too), I would gladly accept it if I were in Roseman’s position.

Wulf: I think the cost seems pretty reasonable....As for whether I would have done the Eagles version of this deal, it’s a tough call.... I would have been squarely on the fence and probably backed off.

With Russell Wilson bound for the Broncos, what's next for the Eagles' QB...

They also both reckon the Eagles are still pretty seriously interested in Watson, albeit with all the caveats.

Seattle also didn't want to trade Wilson to an NFC team. I think Washington offered three 1st rounders.

As far as the WR market... I'd rather stick to the draft. Garrett Wilson, Jameson Williams, Drake London, Christian Watson, Burks, and Olave all seem like good choices in the 1st (I'm not the biggest Burks or Olave fan, but both are certainly good players). And George Pickens, Jahan Dotson, or Skyy Moore would be great value in the 2nd.

Is there actually a way to "pick up salary" in terms of cap hit? The real money shouldn't matter that much.

Not that I think it makes a difference, but at least the picks are conditional.

The #Colts being able to trade Carson Wentz and have Washington take on the entire contract is massive. His entire $28.2M cap number comes off the books and there's no dead money left over. #Colts are now set to have the most cap space (over $70M) in the NFL entering free agency.

I'm stunned the Colts did that well, candidly. Likely going to end up a third this year, a second next year and a 2nd round pick swap this year.

I mean, the guy can still play, and QBs are still hard to come by. He's arguably better than Sam Bradford was both times the Eagles made deals involving him. And definitely better than the many first-rounders who never even get to their second contract. But also seemingly a lousy teammate & leader. And Washington just went through that with Haskins too.
