Probably true, but the SB season gives him more time I think. Schwartz is an easier fall guy, especially since his defense can’t stop anyone. It isn’t Schwartz fault that there are no LB on the team, but it is that in 3rd and 15 the scheme allows the offense to get a running start and find a hole that allows a 40 yard play.

Schwartz’s defense depends on the DL to stop the pass and the LBs to stop the run. Well, we can’t stop the run and it is easy to see why

I don’t accept the idea that Schwartz is not to be held to blame for the LB situation. Going into a draft, the position coaches have to stress the fact that they need quality guys to fill in at positions of need. Schwartz must have told the powers that be that he could make do with what he had. It didn’t work.

Every time I read about this topic it says that the front office makes that call. They don't value the position and they have analytics to back it up (just not results, anymore). Position coaches and coordinators are not really consulted about the draft. I'm not even sure the head coach/offensive coordinator had much to do with the Hurts pick!

Think how much worse this day could have been for Matt Klentak, though that should probably bother Middleton just as much (i.e., WIP won't waste much airtime on the Phillies today and tomorrow).

I wonder if DJax is once again out for the year. He seems to get seemingly minor injuries and they linger for months, can’t help but wonder if we are looking at that again.

I had hope for this WR corps, but it is just incredible how bad they are. Only Greg Ward is actually playing / practicing. Can we actually invent the 2 TE, 3 RB offense?

Strange set of take-aways. My first take-away, based on how terribly Peters played, was that he was injured long before he left the game, likely before the game even began and the injury worsened. When you say that Wentz lost his whole offense and then include Arceaga-Whiteside on the list, you sort of mock your own point. There is no time that Arceaga-Whiteside has been a part of the offense, even when he got significant snaps. Any practice squadder could do as well.

He isn’t getting much press, but there seems to be a very big hole wherever Herbig is for Sanders to run through.

First TD was a nice drive. 4 backups on the OL and big freaking holes against one of the best defenses in the league.

When you drive down w/o any problems and almost every play is a success on that drive, Pederson once again goes ultra-aggressive and gets the 2pt conversion

Am I the only one that is very pleased with the first full game for Maliata? I barely even remember hearing his name, in fact most of the pressure issues that I saw were from the middle and oddly enough it seemed like Kelce was getting beat fairly often (the only starter).

We could really use a little luck on the OL. Pryor and Herbig have been solid surprises, especially Herbig who has played well. If Maliata can fill the big V role from teh last few years it would really help.

When it says "Arcega-Whiteside was a full participant", what does that mean? He ran routes but no one through him the ball and if they did he dropped it? I assume that is what it means.

Did he get the other guys drinks?
Clean their shoes?
Hold a clipboard?

I wish we had video to understand the statement.

Crazy PI call on Slay on a pass the Jolly Green Giant could not have caught, obvious missed hold against Cox and then a personal fouls call on Jackson to reset the down counter. Earlier in the drive a cheap shot by a Steeler on a play on the sideline went uncalled.

The league is a joke. They rule a fumble to be an interception, then over rule that to be an incomplete pass. Just horrible officiating.

Hopefully that will be Jim Schwartz last screw up. LB covering the WR that destroyed you all day decides the game. He clearly has a defense that doesn’t work. He seems unable to make any moves.

Hopefully we change on Monday
