I have to wonder if it is not time to put Jeffries and Jackson on the IR and just send them home. They are wasting roster spots and at this point they are so out of game timing that it isn’t really worth trying to bring them into the fold.
Jeffries is a special case as given statements he has made we are probably better off with him off the team anyway (and his play isn’t worth keeping around)
Jackson might still have something in the tank, but he showed nothing this year in his limited time. Honestly, I would rather have a young WR getting his playing time (if he ever gets on the field again).
After spending a 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th round pick (In 2 drafts) we have .... Well, we have an undrafted guy and someone else’s released 6th round pick that appear to be solid possession receivers. The first round pick was probably a mistake, but still might be serviceable (but it does seem like CeeDee is the better player), the 2nd round pick is the worst football player I have seen in a long time. The later picks are still projects, but Hightower doesn’t catch the ball well and Watkins certainly isn’t scaring defenses at all.
Since we just lost Toohill to the team in Washington, I can’t help but think that putting one of these two on IR would not have been a better idea
