After last night I like the idea better than I used to. Hard to believe the Yankees have struggled just as much as the Phillies, both collectively and at certain spots.

Though I'm still not sure Robert, while obviously better than Rojas, wouldn't just slide right into this Phillies offense with all of the same flaws, and no truly greater chance of going further this October, because there's never any way to guarantee it. If Harper Wheeler etc. don't carry this team it's not happening for them regardless.

I know Jack Flaherty isn’t a commodity they necessarily need, but if they can’t make some other kind of impact deal happen, well- this guy is pitching like Wheeler with the same stuff. Surely that would be a something of a boost to add another ace. Plus he’ll be 29 next year - seems like a good guy to spend money on to further lock down the rotation.

All they need now is Joc Pederson. Rosario looks washed up though. I've been waiting for the Braves to be the Braves and to pick some outfielder and starting pitcher who makes them forget about Acuna and Strider while they perform at MVP and Cy Young levels for two months.

Happy that DD didn’t do anything silly with swapping out any of the top prospects. Actually I think that Crawford will be the everyday CF by this time next year. Painter may well be here in some sort of role by then as well.
