I have been following the progress of Markelle Futlz since the season ended and one thing I really like is the level of commitment he has in his work with Drew Hanlen. Everything you see and read speaks to a great teammate and a kid who loves basketball. The little footage available has shown his shot is smoother and he isn't chucking from the side like he was.

If he can get his shot back then perhaps we have our big addition of the offseason...

Well, that solves 1 roster issue. I wonder if it had something to do with the draft. I dont see it as much of a loss, we really didnt need him and with Johnson, Chandler and Redick around there is no real need for "veteran" guys.

Besides, Ilyasova will be available at mid-season for the minimum after he is released again

He can still be released, it is just more painful.

Sadly the Sixers probably missed out on a few guys that might have been worth something with the Mid-Level exemption, but not bothering to go through the deals made to see who might have been signed.

Honestly, we kinda have a roster crunch anyway, will be interesting to see who actually would make the team at this point. Bolden in consideration? TLC finally get his walking papers?

For what its worth, the Spurs and Raptors have a DeRozen for Kawhi deal done. Other parts involved.

That seems good for the Sixers in that Kawhi will almost certainly not sign long-term in Toronto, and the Sixers get a year to figure out if Kawhi is healthy before trying to sign him. It will make the Raptors better this year, though. Interestingly, both DeRozen and Kawhi said they did not want this deal to happen before it was official.

Weird that in a way I want it to happen. I think it overall hurts SA, they should be better next year (although Leonard will be discontent) but after that it should hurt Toronto as I dont think there is any chance he will resign. So they question is does this make the Raptors better than the Sixers in 2018/19, and I think the answer is no, so in an odd twist I think this is good for the Sixers.

Not sure I see Leonard joining the Sixers after this season anyway, I would be shocked if he didnt join LeBron in LA and make a run at GS. Who knows what he is thinking. Funniest option ins Pops retires and he goes back to SA.

We'll see how serious leonard is about going home...he'll have to take about 30 million dollars less to play in LA...

Sixers trade TLC (he ends up in OKC) and Justin Anderson (he ends up in Atlanta) and get the "Pride of Bucknell" Mike Muscala, PF

ESPN is only saying TLC, no mention of Anderson. I could see moving both. It may be an indication that they expect a lot of minutes from Fultz.

Muscala was pretty much a stiff in his early NBA career. Is he better now? TLC plus JA is a pretty big price to pay.

Looks decent minus his rookie year. 14.8 PER, .595 TS%, 1.0 DPM. His outside shooting has been better the last two years .418 3P% (on just 1.6 attempts) and .371 3P% (on 3.2 attempts). Good FT%.

I liked the TLC pick at the time, but he's been pretty bad in his first 2 years.

Sixers trade Rashaun Holmes to the suns for cash considerations and sign Jonah Bolden to a 4 year contract.

Also talk that the sixers are working on a Kyle Korver for Jarred Bayliss swap...
