I don't see getting closer to .500 as any grand goal. That will mean we've lost the LA pick in trading for Fultz and our own pick won't be that great. It's also not necessary to give up the LA pick or our backup center to approach, or even reach .500. Add Fox in the draft, get Simmons on the court, and a healthy Embiid -- which your trade is predicated upon, and this team already has .500 in its sights, and can still make that FA splash to push them to .500. But, trade the LA pick and there is no substantial young help on the way in next year's draft. That is going back to the futile pre-Hinkie days. I know that there is frustration over all the sub-.500 seasons. I feel that with the Phillies as well as the Sixers. However, I just don't see Fultz as the magic bullet that gets that job done. We need to stick with the unfolding plan. We are almost there. If the team is healthy, next season's Sixers will be much improved, whether or not we trade up to get Fultz. Fultz is the ready-made guy, but it's a year early for that and Fox can be a force. Fox is my first choice at 3, but others have made good arguments for a forward.
