Yea, if he even just adds the threat of a jump shot he is unstoppable. He did make a running 10-12 footer last night as the shot clock sounded, but everyone in the building was surprised it went in (including his teammates). It may take a year or even two to add a respectable shot from 15 feet, but it can be done, a 20 year old who once played for the Lakers came up as a big point guard that could not shoot at all and he was actually able to add it a shot that make him an HOF and possibly the best point guard ever. Simmons certainly has the work effort to do it.
His foul shooting is easily fixed I hope, looking at him shooting. He doesnt use his legs AT ALL when he takes a foul shot, they are straight and stiff. If someone just gets him to bend his knees a little and use his leg muscles instead of his arms to generate the force he will get up into the mid-high 70s pretty fast. Odd that I can see it and no one has fixed it yet, it is very obvious.
If they can lock up Simmons for a few years with Embiid and both stay healthy (along with some other players, Saric for one) this is going to be a very fun decade.
Fultz looks lost, but honestly he is getting guarded by Wade some of the time and Wade is just orders of magnitude smarter than he is (basketball wise). I dont blame Fultz for getting his pocket picked by a HOF guy who has always done it with his athleticism and intellect, Fultz is just badly overmatched in that scenario right now. He just needs to play at the NBA level, his speed, athleticism and ability to get off shots against much bigger players are going to make a him a very, very good player, he just needs some time. He reminds me alot of AI, but without the outside shot.
