Incredible second half tonight with insane three point shooting from Bellinelli and Redick in particular.

Sixers with a big second half and cruise to a win in game one. Simmons just missed a triple double. Reddick had 28. Saric and Belenelli hit big shots. Nice win.

Brett Brown is turning in to one heck of a coach. His in game adjustments have gotten much better.

Miami did a good job of keeping the Sixers out of sync. Sixers got it within 2 late but never got over the hump. Series moves to Miami, Embiid should be back for game 3.

The ghost of Dwyane Wade stole one tonight. As many predicted might happen. On to Miami, have to get at least one.

Watched the game before work this morning. Almost an incredible fourth quarter come back but Dwayne Wade was able to stop the run.
Main difference between game 1 and 2 was success with 3 pointers. I think they only made 2 or 3 in game 2? Covington in particular seemed poor.

If Embiid can go Game 3 he has to play. I think I read somewhere that Brown was holding a practice today in Philly. That makes sense. Get Embiid practicing with the full team today ahead of Game 3.

JJ Redick and I were born on the exact same day, and it also sounds like he thinks about the world in a similar way to me. I find that particularly theory very plausible, though my preferred theory is that this is one of many universes. In one I am the professional basketball player despite being 5 foot 8 on a good day and he is here typing up his thoughts about me.

I enjoy his podcast too. He is an interesting guy

Embiid has been upgraded to probable for Game 3 tonight. Will go through pre-game warmups and, if feeling ok, will be a go.

Embiid was a go and sporting a mask and goggles, he put up 23, 7 boards, 4 assists, a steal and 3 blocks. Sixers pull away late and win 128 - 108.

Strange game. Didn't feel like a big win for most of it, but the fourth quarter they pulled away. Looking forward to watching the next game at a reasonable hour!

I felt like the game was an epic battle and the Sixers' defense in the 4th sparked what looks like a blowout though was truly a gritty and highly competitive duel for 3 quarters. I was surprised Embiid played as many minutes as he did. Fultz was brutal in limited minutes for the 2nd game in a row, but Brown's decision to go with McConnell in the 2nd half and use Justin Anderson for his physical defense were excellent decisions. Great win!

Minor complaint: I see headlines this morning of Embiid saying the Sixers can go to the Finals. Of course he should believe that, but the players need to knock off the proclamations and social media nonsense. Just gives fuel to the other team. This series is far from over.

i saw on another sight that wade was complaining about justin anderson and his physical defense. i didn't see much of the game last night, but weren't the heat clutching and grabbing the whole night in game 2. they knew they couldn't stay with the sixers and had to resort to that. also, wasn't wade the one who completely wrapped his arms around simmons on a lay up and thank goodness held him up from falling. come on Eddie, i mean Sonny, i mean Virginia, what goes around , comes around.

Why would they change who they are now? Players on this team...especially Embiid have done this all year long. They play with this type of swagger...

Wade is trying to influence the officials in the press. We actually need to fight back against that, or the reffing will be even more one-sided.

The sixers needed to prove they could match the physicality of the heat or this series would have turned. They got punched in the mouth in game 2 and this was exactly what they needed.
