Hearing reports he has died in a plane crash. (Now confirmed.)
It seems that it is confirmed that it is his recently purchased plane (by tail number) crashed in the Gulf of Mexico and that one yet unidentified person is confirmed dead. Honestly, it looks like a single person aircraft to me
It is out there that it was his plane, but haven't seen it confirmed to be him who perished. Where are you seeing this? So surreal
Twitter, and local news report. Still not officially confirmed that it's his plane but if so then yeah, it's just a question of whether he was the person flying it today.
Although a small plane, couldn't it also be a passenger?
Just saw that. Prayers for the reported one dead, whoever it is.
If there was another person in the plane who survived I think we'd know that
Confirmed
Deeply saddened to hear that.
Completely shocked at this news. Unbelievable. Hope his family can pull through this tragic loss.
Absolutely devastating news. RIP Doc.
So sad. When I saw it trending earlier I figured someone had hired him.
The sheriff seems to have known him and of course is talking very highly of him as a person.
Damn.
RIP, sir. You were the best.
What a pitcher and a great guy. He donated $100,000 each year to the Jays Care Foundation, when he was with the the Blue Jays. Rest in peace Roy.
Gutted. He struck me as a most professional and decent person. RIP Roy.
I am numb, had the pleasure of meeting Roy, humble guy. Nice guy. RIP Doc
I'll never forget the playoff no-hitter and his perfect game.
Why do these wealthy people have to fly there own planes? Tragic.
