Wow, EDmuch, you are cutting a pretty wide swath there with your dislike of Nola based on the fact that he has not yet chosen to be vaccinated? How then would you view Yankee Aaron Judge, who was vaccinated, and yet got Covid or the Yankee team, which exceeded the 85% total and yet just had an outbreak of 6 players, most of whom were said to have been vaccinated per Cashman. Same with the Rockies.
Or if I were a player, how would you judge me? I am unvaccinated because I chose to take the anti-bodies test and found out I had contacted Covid sometime in the past, never knew it, and now had a viral load of anibodies and T cells in my system. Given that, my doctor advised against the vaccine for now, and I will likely take the antibodies test every 6 month just to monitor my numbers.
Are you going to now not cheer for Kintzler or Joyce because they both got Covid vaccine shots but were two of the voices in the Phillie clubhouse who indicated they believe they suffered injuries post vaccine? What if you found out Harper, Realmuto and Wheeler are unvaccinated? Or McCutchen, who is widely considered one of the reasoned and respected players in the Phillie clubhouse.
You have chosen to castigate Nola, who by the way does not have Covid, simply because he is perhaps the roommate of Bohm on the road, or had dinner with him on Friday night? If you choose not to root for Nola, then your anger must be even higher with Bohm, who not only got Covid, but put Nola and two other valued relievers on the sidelines.
I simply think this is a slippery slope, my friend, and followed to its logical conclusion, will likely find you not rooting for almost the entire team. Which is your choice. But you have chosen to castigate Nola simply because he was asked a question and answered it honestly. Seems a bit rigid to me.
