The one reason the Phils might look at resigning Ramos is if he's amenable to being a mentor to Alfaro, and in a year or two, Grullon. They have money to burn for a couple years, but he'd have to accept a lesser role.
Then you can make Knapp a utility guy who can play C, 1B, LF, RF, and Alfaro can play C, 3B, RF, and you have great flexibility off your bench (key for a NL team).
