Knebel, SD, Brogdon, Alvardo, Coonrod, that's not a bad start to building a pen. Probably get another lefty out of Sheriff, Emanuel, Ogle, Dohy, Warren and Jones, whoever pitches well in TC.

Expect some more bargain bin arms to be signed for TC.

I'm hoping 8th inning guy capable of filling in at closer. 10 million is a lot, but better than like 16 million over 2 years if they don't like what they get from him next year.

Yeah I agree that at $10 million he has the inside track to close, or at least will be our highest-paid reliever. They are still after Givens too I bet.

Givens only made 4.5 million last year, I don't think he's more than a $7-8 mllion guy.

Ok that makes $17 million with the need for another decent lefty. That will put us over $20 million for the bullpen without any outfielders or bench. Middleton better have approved a budget that goes over the cap. (In deference to Julio, I did not capitalize “cap”.)

I don't think they sign another lefty, unless it's the second guy. Alvarado is your top late-inning lefty and you expect your 8th/9th inning guys to do both (not to mention everyone has to do both, if they start an inning). Plus they just added several LHPs, one of them is bound to make it to spring training. If Ryan Sheriff doesn't make the team some minor league invite guy will.
