I don't really think the Phillies will do anything before the lockout. I just think they are more in a trade mode than a FA mode. They have spent a ton of money over the past few seasons. Aside from Harper and Wheeler none have really paid dividends. I mean JT didn't play up to his contract his year, not that he was bad just not up to his contract, Nola didn't, Didi didn't, Bradley didn't, McCutchen didn't, To a point Segura did. They have to get a CF, but I am fine rolling with Bohm at 3rd base, Stott at SS and Vierling in LF. I think they can deal for a CF that is an upgrade. Sign some lower level guys to compete with the aforementioned players. They have catching depth to deal from which is normally a good thing. Will I be disappointed if they sign a Bryant or Nick Castellanos NO I won't be and I do think they are going to sign somebody. Just won't be disappointed if they don't. We have been down this free agent path and generally it has not worked out. Best to develop the guys we have and move from there.
