The last one, wow. Almost makes it hard to believe that four Whiz Kids are still with us (Bob Miller, Paul Stuffel, Putsy Caballero & Curt Simmons, all in their late eighties). I remember in 1980, the Phillies had the last (or one of the last) surviving 1915 Phillie throw out the first pitch for one of the World Series games.
The Indians brought back the last member of the 1948 World Champions to one of the World Series games this year, Eddie Robinson.
I wonder how many Brooklyn Dodgers are still alive. Koufax and Newcombe come to mind. I wonder if there are any living Philadelphia A's?
