On the MLB channel, Pedro Martinez said that the death was due to complications from diabetes. Terribly sad.

Being reported that Moses Malone has died of a heart attack at age 60.

The '83 76ers championship season was certainly a fun year to watch and Malone was certainly a big part of that team.

iirc, I saw an interview with Moses 10 to 15 years ago and he was questioned about what if the Sixers drafted Daugherty and he was moved to PF. His answer was that he played a little PF before and it seemed that he would have been all right with it. Ruland was toast and Katz and his crew couldn't see it. It still upsets me thinking about those trades.

I was stunned and also yelled at the TV. I was stunned. It was a terrible decision to trade Moses and they paid the price for it in years of horrible basketball to follow.

It is fair to say I dislike both the Yankees and mets, but Berra was a great player and a Baseball Legend (when you combine his announcing and frankly, comedy act).

One of the best representatives of Baseball ever. RIP.

A great ambassador for the game of baseball and what some consider the game's golden age. As easy as it is to dislike the New York teams, it was hard to dislike him.

Didn't always agree with him politically (sometimes did), but a very underrated actor and obviously a very talented guy.

I know he really only played himself, but that doesn't mean he didn't portray some very enjoyable characters over a long career.

RIP, honestly I thought he might still have a political career if he had wanted it.
