VERY sad. I didn't know he had Leukemia. He was fantastic and I ml fortunate to have seen him in concert with YES several times back in the 1980's.

Second World War humanitarian Nicholas Winton, who helped many Jews escape mainland Europe to Britain. Until today, I had not heard of the man. He was a great human being, who led by example and, certainly, 'made a difference'.

I was at the Sea of Hands game against Miami in 1974. Still one of the most amazing games I ever saw, probably rivaling the George Blanda miracles season of 1970. My uncle and I had Oakland Raider season tickets and I was fortunate enough to witness those Blanda miracles that year. Ironically enough, though both the 70 and 74 teams won some amazing games, neither made it to the Super Bowl, one losing to the Baltimore Colts and the other starting the Pittsburgh Steeler Dynasty in 1974.

Living in Southern Oregon I grew up a Raider fan, since we were in their viewing region, we got them every week. Luckily living on the west coast I got to see the end of the "Heidi" game. I have many fond, fond memories of watching the Raiders every Sunday with my mother, who was a huge Raider fan as well. RIP.

He was also a world class bridge player. Used to write bridge columns. I was at a tournament one time where he played, didn't get to play against him though.

George Coe aged 88. Most recently voiced Woodhouse the butler on Archer but I found out this week that he was an original cast member on SNL. Its not aired over here but its still something everyone is aware of and has seen sketches from.
