Heard about this through the afternoon. Cannot fathom what kind of individual physically assaults a two-year old child to the point of death. I really have no other words for it. Thoughts and prayers to AP; I obviously don't know him, but he's always seemed to be a character guy.

Loved Lou Reed. Back in my 20's I had several Velvet Underground and Lou Reed LP's. He was a real groundbreaker. My personal favorite was "Sweet Jane"

I am just catching up on my Phillies reading, but I was surprised no one commented on Michael Weiner's passing - - a pretty impressive person who handled hit situation admirably.

You're probably right. I was pointing (with tongue in cheek) to the story mentioning him as eight years old while residing the the Griffin household for the past eleven.
He'll be sorely missed. RIP Brian.

The online Family Guy loyalists are none too pleased. I read somewhere that a petition was already making the rounds to bring Brian back (which I have to think McFarland was intending to do anyway; Brian and Stewie moments were easily among the favorites on the show) - garnering upwards of 40,000 signatures in under a day.

I'm not so sure. I think McFarlane wants to move on from this show. I suspect he killed off Brian, a character he voiced, to free him up from doing one of the voices.

Multiple reports on my Twitter feed that Nelson Mandela has died. CNN reporting the same.
Those of you that post in the "political" thread know that I'm an atheist, but if there is a God, hopefully Nelson Mandela lived to 95 because God didn't count the 27 years against him.
