I'm particularly sad to hear about Chrissy Amphlett's passing. I interviewed her and her main bandmate, James McEntee, back in 1988, and I liked her very much. She was already clearly a veteran performer, and while she had already established herself as a feisty singer, she was thoughtful and intelligent, and gave a good interview. In a way, it's too bad that she's almost only remembered for the group's one hit, from a few years later. There's plenty of better material on the previous album, "Temperamental," and several tracks worth hearing from the ones before that. The gimmick of her hit made them briefly famous, but she and the group had more depth to them than that song indicated. RIP, Chrissy.
