When I saw this story earlier I thought it was for former Phillie Dalier Hinojosa. He was reasonably good for the Phillies in 2015 and 2016. I'm surprised to see hes out of the league.
I had to look him up to remember him. Didn't we first snag him on waivers? He had a career-ending injury basically.
Thats unfortunate, he wasn't a superstar by any stretch of the imagination but he was a decent major league reliever. An injury would explain it.
Well, he was still kind of bust because Boston paid him a $4 million bonus. But, like a lot of Cuban players he was older and had some wear on him, clearly.
Peter Bourjus contract was selected by the ANgels and has been added to their 40-man and 25-man rosters following Spring Training
Rangers Release Ben Revere
La Tortuga - Willians Astudillio has made the 25 man with Minnesota. He'll hopefully get some at bats at CBP next week
Piece from 538 on phormer pharmhand Willians Astudillo:
Speaking of Ben Revere (see above), Trevor May, who went to the Twins in the trade for Revere, pitched in the game at CBP tonight.
At number 7, Sixto Sanchez
Sixto is actually 7 on that list, not 1.
haha sorry, typo. I kept trying to write "#7" but that is a macro for this: #annual-archives:2007-archives.
Also, I actually typed 7, so not a typo even. Not sure why it shows up as 1, when I go to edit it it's still 7.
The board has an auto-numbering "feature". You need to label stuff like "-7" to not have it start numbering at 1.
Fixed. pc, mod...
I just figured I'd leave it or the subsequent conversation would be redundant, but thanks!
The auto-numbering thing makes sense but I would have thought it would still render in the text box (as with the # sign macro)
Gio apparently about to be available again
Freddy still doing fun stuff on D:
Mets DFA their one-time catcher of the future and one-time Phillies' prospect Travis D'Arnaud. Could he possibly be the backup catcher upgrade we seek? Having said that, I imagine that the Mets would move Heaven and Earth to trade him somewhere else for pretty much anything before he becomes a free agent if the Phillies are interested in him.
D'Arnaud is the Roman Quinn of catchers (even if all catchers get hurt).
The Man was on New York radio today, and even took some calls from Mets fans
