If Viars is as good as many think, doesn't he have to do more with the bat than what he is doing in 2nd year of Complex League? His OPS in same league was 200 points higher last year.

I read Viars is still hurt, but playing through it. That would explain a lot.

Ben Brown trying to join the young aces group...he's had a very nice year! He's averaging 13 Ks per 9 IP, and about 3 BBs. Gives up a few too many HRs; I wonder if Fish knows which pitches he's getting hit hard on? If they are hanging breaking balls he'll fix that as he matures.

Guy who's flying under the radar is Donnie Sands at Lehigh.

25 year old catcher who was blocked in the Yankee system, had a breakout season last year between AA and AAA, and is building upon it this year. .348 BA with some pop.

Would be a nice platoon at DH with Hall as well as catcher depth - too bad they've committed themselves to a high price DH when Harper returns.

Nice day in the organ-I-zation Sunday. Wins at all stateside levels. Hao Lee with the rare 0-fer, but lots of great days. Jared Carr went 4/4 with a HR, bringing his average barely above .200. Luis Garcia was 3/4 in the same game, with his average skyrocketing to .156.
