I've got no problem with him either, though I still think he's not at the top of his game post-concussion and now there's another injury (or re-aggravation). Just win baby is fine until it isn't, i.e. what worked for the regular season and the Packers and the Rams (and even the Commanders) may still not be enough for a parade.

But, every coach and QB in the league has their warts, except maybe KC in the big picture. Dan Campbell is sitting at home and looking for new coordinators probably, and he didn't even get to lose an NFC championship game or Super Bowl.

Measure the whole game and not two plays, and I think Hurts needs to do better. He holds the ball too long, stafford had no problem with the weather and the Eagles won because of defensive turnovers, or you could say that the offense didn’t do enough themselves. He had a throw to brown that should have been picked in the end zone and another where brown alligator armed but it wasn’t a good throw. This is the opposite of the games two years ago where the offense was unstoppable - Hurts was better two years ago and that’s what I’d like to see again. I like Hurts but I’m also not afraid to say that’s the obvious room for improvement. Maybe it is Moore’s fault but we could use better play from the QB position. This team is talented enough to win the Super Bowl

Hurts is definitely hurt, more so after this game, but I think Brown has played injured the last several games. Hurts should have been replaced after the knee injury. Just too dangerous with the weather and Rams pass rush and his effectiveness was greatly reduced.

Hurts could have had a 2nd rushing TD without the false start, another 6 or 7 pts lost. Then there was the illegal man downfield play which could have added more points and it's a blowout.

This weekend the losers turned over the ball ten times to the winners none. Hurts did not lose the ball and threw no interceptions. Right now he’s been keeping the ball away from the opponents. It’s winning football.

I think he and Stafford each had a fumble that was recovered by their own team (besides the Stafford turnover one)

Hurts fumbled the ball and Gainwell recovered. Hurts threw at least two passes that could have been intercepted.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy the Eagles are winning and I am happy if Hurts manages the game. His threat to run also helps Barkley because the weak side defenders have to stay at home because of the RPO. Again, I am a fan of Hurts, he is not playing as well as he could.

Jalen Hurts yesterday 15/20 128 yds, avg 6.4, QBR 91.3. 7/70 rushing with a TD.

Josh Allen yesterday 16/22 127 yds, avg 5.8, QBR 86.7. 10/20 rushing, 2 TDs. (But better at not getting sacked).

Guessing there's very little talk about how Josh Allen is holding back his team?

Passing stats just don't mean too much in snow and cold weather games. It is no accident that the game with all the passing fireworks (Commanders-Lions) was indoors. Daniels has little experience in cold weather games for next week as he played his college ball in Arizona and Louisiana. Hard to know how he'll fare if it is really cold. High of 39 next weekend on Sunday so it will be cold, though not as bad as this past week.

I don't think Hurts is holding back the team. He is a plus QB when healthy. His mobility is a big part of his game. I believe it was foolish to leave him in the game, when we had a large lead, when he had a significant knee injury which seriously reduced his mobility, when the state of the field and blitzes greatly increased the risk of more serious injury, and when we have zero chance against the Commanders if Hurts can't play and play well, which requires his knee to be in better shape next Sunday than it was at the end of this game. The Eagles are paying a lot to have an experienced backup QB. As to the response above to the goal-line pass from inside the endzone: I suspect the playcall was made by the OC, but the decision to keep Hurts in the game and include such a play in what Hurts was allowed to do was the decision of the HC.

Eagles only led 16-13 when Hurts gave up the safety. They led by 13 late but not for long. I would not want to see Pickett or McKee unless Hurts was seriously injured. He is "ya gotta play hurt" injured (and so is Pickett anyway).

The passing game issues go back to the collapse last season and have persisted all this season, outside of some one off games like vs the Steelers.

That makes it even more frustrating, we know they can execute at a much higher level, but they have failed to so frequently. We also get no answers from the players, coaches or organization and just have to hope they are working on it.

Well, I assume he's still a little banged up but not enough to keep him from being active over McKee. But also not so healthy that he wouldn't have his own limitations (in addition to being Kenny Pickett).

Since Pickett was the #2 QB Sunday I would assume they thought he could play last week, so he must be substantially recovered from his rib problems, although he's not ever going to recover from his talent limitations.

Tomorrow's practice injury report should be telling. And it would be a good sign if they released Ian Book from the Practice Squad...

This story talks about how both Saqon runs and his own involved Hurts setting the play (and coverage with Jurgens). Just did not happen on the safety

I think there's probably a point where the coaches have to protect him from himself/remind of his limitations if he does in fact have them, but their general approach has been, if he's playing, he's playing like he always does (the concussion recovery included).

I would imagine Hurts and Mitchell will be LP on Wednesday and FP on Thur, or maybe there will be a rest day. But they are playing. Not sure Book's status matters, he's buried on the practice squad in case any of the other three gets injured, not because any of them are injured (he was on the roster when that was the case and even then that still took two injuries).
