Chance for homefield to the Super Bowl with a win tomorrow. It looks like the weather has a chance to not be so bad, I was looking forward to Barkley running rampant in the snow, but it might just be a sloppy mix of rain and snow...

Well, also if your team's identity is all about passing you don't want to publicly say that the weather will affect it (unless and until you lose in that weather, then you have a nice excuse).

I think the Eagles win today, but after watching last night's game, I don't think we are as good as Washington, especially without Dean. Jayden has noticeably advanced and the Washington D is very solid.

Well the better team doesn't always win. It's funny because until November Washington was the division frontrunner, nobody was sure if they were for real but the Eagles did not seem poised to zoom past them like they did. Then they lost three straight games including to the Eagles and likely wouldn't have beaten us in the last one had Hurts been in there. Obviously Eagles defense has to be much better than they were in that one. I'll still take the home field.

But for now, the better team doesn't always win also applies to the Rams.

You do have wonder about the perception that the NFC North was the best division.

NFC North WAS the best regular season division by performance. Detroit was a shell of itself on defense after all the injuries. Packers competed with the Eagles on the road. Rams were better at the end of the year than the Vikings. Let's hope they are not better than the Eagles. Should be a good game today; don't count on help from the weather, go out and win the game!

I did have to look up the NFC North's playoff teams' regular season records vs other playoff teams who weren't in their division after their last one and done result last night.

Packers beat the Texans and Rams, lost to the Eagles
Vikings beat the Texans, lost to the Rams
Lions beat the Texans and Rams, lost to the Bucs and Bills.

So they were a collective 5-4 vs the playoff field outside their division, add the playoffs and they were 5-7, take the Texans out and they were 2-7.

*Know this is all meaningless, was just amazed how bad they all were in the playoffs. I didn't feel the Packers as a real threat last week, despite being shown how to be negative about Philly sports over all the decades.

They all just finished worse (or had injuries) than their overall records suggested. Packers were especially awful and Vikings turned out to have Sam Darnold Detroit upset still surprising considering they finished well enough, but it was always a possibility.

Mitchell out for the rest of the game. Looks like a separated shoulder from the hit but don't know for sure. He could be out for the rest of the season.

He is reported as questionable which is hopefully a good sign, Dean was ruled out last week
