McCarthy is competent, did a decent job without Dak this season. He might be like Doc Rivers, better when he's working at a disadvantage.

I think you're all correct. He's a good not great coach but even a great one would have trouble winning under Jones in 2024. That said he won the division last year (before tanking against the team the Eagles survived yesterday). What happened in the '90s was before the monster had really grown (and even then they were lucky Switzer got them one more). If I were Moore I would still not want that to be my first head job, though he could also easily be the next Jason Garrett (no rings, but plenty of job security).

Rooting for Deion myself.

I have to say, I would never actively root for the Commanders, but I am happy to see them win because I really think they match up well with Detroit. Jaylen Daniels is a real threat if you can’t pass rush, and assuming Hutchinson is not back yet, it is a weakness of Detroit.

I think Washington has a shot and I know the Eagles can get by Washington in Philly

My Brother in Law, that lives with us (long story) is a Vikings Fan. We have beaten the Vikings so many times in a row, I am just afraid of him getting some revenge and me having to listen to it all offseason.

Not at all. Plus it would be entertaining or possibly disastrous with Deion.

But I also wouldn't overstate the value of Kellen. Just because the Eagles had trouble replacing Reich and Steichen doesn't mean they can't ever get it right (seeing as they also got it right with those two and Moore).. And the Brian Johnson hire was not just on Sirianni, he was Hurts' guy. If Moore leaves I'm sure Howie and Nick will both be involved, it's not like Moore was imposed on him.

Jerry can probably coach a little.The secret sauce is the interference, and the general lack of clarity about who's in charge of what (between him and his son and the HC). Wasn't Moore actually caught between Jerry (who liked him) and McCarthy (who didn't) too?

I don’t get attacking fans from other teams. It is childish and immature.

For 2 years prior to this one a bunch of us went to the opening home game against the Vikings both times. I have a family member that is a hard core Vikings Fan that went with us, we had fun tailgating and there was always some good natured trash talk, but we DID NOT TOLERATE anyone trying to get into the face of the Vikings Fan. Being a group of 10-15 shut down anyone going too far, as people that act that way are always cowards.

There are 32 teams. Why would anyone think that everyone is only a fan of your team. It is fun to have the good natured jokes and ribbing, but it is obvious when it crosses the line and I absolutely do not support and would be ashamed of an Eagles Fan doing that.

The stuff this guy was spewing (there is a video out there) absolutely should get him thrown out of the stadium and I would fire him also. Don’t want people like that around me either.

Totally agree. I took my grandson to the Dallas game a few weeks ago. There were Dallas fans in the row in front of us and behind us. A lot of good natured back and forth. A very nice experience and a good example of sportsmanship for my grandson.

I have a doctor who went to med school in Philly. She told me she went to an Eagles-Cowboys game and was harassed for wearing blue. She wasn't a Cowboys fan and wasn't wearing Cowboys gear, just the wrong color.

In my opinion, that is a distraction. Moore needs to be focused on game planning for Sunday.

NFL's fault for how they schedule interviews. Teams shouldn't be allowed to hire externally until after the Super Bowl.
