I’m happy we’ve got another home game. I think I would have preferred Tampa over Minnesota/LA Rams, but just happy to have another game next weekend

Well the home game was guaranteed. But now that you mention it I guess a Tampa win might have made a Minnesota or LA upset of Detroit more likely, thus getting us a home NFC championship. Now that only happens if it's DC.

But, we have trouble with Tampa/Bowles, even the last two in the playoffs were just very different teams. I'll take my chances with LA or Vikings, Vikings have the good record but I'm not sure they are truly elite.

I want the Vikings. Almost every time the Eagles have made it to the Super Bowl, they beat the Vikings along the way. If not for the Giants upsetting the Vikings in 2020, we probably would have played them on that trip as well.

Assuming Dean is out, I hope it isn’t Burks who fills in. He really stood out as missing plays today (despite a big forced fumble on Special Teams)

Trotter on obvious run plays, maybe do something crazy like put Sidney Brown out there since he somewhat plays like a LB anyway? It will probably be Burks

Not mentioned here, but give Trotter credit.

GB recovered the opening kickoff fumble. Trotter gets his arm in on the initial fumble to make it competitive, but there is a clear shot of the GB guy with the ball in his arms, and only him. Somehow Trotter got the ball from him.

I have no idea how they missed it on the review, it looked clear to me. Just another reason for players to NEVER give up in those piles. Normally it is lineman that get the ball away from people, but somehow our undersized backup LB with a HUGE family name and heart ended up with the ball.

Freeze frame looked like GB had possession but video showed the ball moving. I have zero bias it was a fumble

The Eagles' defense looks decent, but the offense is out of sync.

The Eagles defense did not look decent, it looked very good.

The 'D' was stellar, but they will miss Nakobe Dean a great deal, who was their best player prior to being injured. Almost certainly an ACL looking at the injury and how the medical staff examined him on the field (and seeing him carted off). Nolan Smith stepped up, too, as did Milton Williams. They need to make up for his absence by being better on offense--that's Siriani's "complimentary football."

I witnessed a ton of missed tackles which had been fairly uncharacteristic of this team this year.

Jacobs is probably the hardest running back in the league to tackle, including Saquon. Some credit goes to him. Burks legitimately missed a lot of those tackles. Hope it was just Jacobs. The Rams and Vikings don't have anyone like that.

That is awful, he was really making his way to the upper levels of modern LB play. I am guessing he is marginal to be ready for training camp.

initial reports say he will miss the beginning of next season. Dean was excellent at reading the plays and was playing so well, I feel terrible for him and this is a big loss

This leaves the Eagles with Burks or Trotter Jr.

Eagles' options are Burks full time or some sort of rotation among Burks, Trotter (on run downs) and Sydney Brown, who lines up as an LB pretty often when he is playing safety, on passing downs.

The sides couldn’t agree on length of contract and McCarthy will pursue other opportunities. He leaves Dallas with a winning record and three playoff appearances.
