Hopefully they bring Maddox back on a more team friendly contract. I can’t imagine there will be much interest in him during FA until quite a few other guys come off the board.

When he plays he isn’t bad.

When he has played, the defense has definitely been more effective. I want him back, although price is an issue. He got injured, at least in part, because he was a very active tackler. Not all of our DBs were. Late in the season none of them were effective tacklers.

I really hope they avoid Barkley, he can’t stay on the field. Shame to lose Swift, but $24.5M is WAY too much for him in today’s game. He will be available again next offseason at a greatly discounted amount when he can’t get enough yards to justify them keeping him.

RB is almost like Safety used to be 20 years ago. Just get a mid-bottom of the league guy because it is your line that matters, just find a guy that doesn’t fumble. There are a few special RB’s, but most are not.

With luck the Swift signing will net us a 4th rounder next year (depending on how the rest of the offseason goes)

Is anyone else amazed at the number of guys from Philly that we have had on the team the last two seasons for 1 year?

This was a nice, quiet signing (for the most money in NFL History for a guard). This guy is extremely underrated because of who he plays with, but he is a key to our future. He also has the possibility to play center if Jurgens gets hurt (in his first year, he was the heir apparent).

Yea, I agree, I hope they next get a deal with Smith, but I worry that is going to be very hard. He may not want to be 2nd fiddle in his prime.

Based on the contract he got in Green Bay, I'm glad Howie stayed away 17 mil a year is too much for a safety. Hopefully the Eagles will grab a safety in the draft that can play right away.

Another free agent safety I like and wanted the Eagles to draft him originally is Jeremy Chinn, he can probably be signed for a lot less than McKinney got.

Well, I didn’t really want Barkley, but we got him. My Father In Law (92 years old) will be thrilled as it is his favorite player. Let’s hope I am wrong, certainly the guy can play, just stay healthy

I guess LB and Safety in the draft and maybe some 2nd tier FA’s in those positions.

My stepsisters who are friends with the family are mad because they are Giants fans. Though, seems to me he was the reason!

Barkley has been hampered by injuries playing on that awful MetLife Stadium turf and by the Giants’ generally poor offensive line. But he still had a monster season just two years ago, with 1,312 rushing yards, 10 touchdowns, a 4.4 average and 57 receptions.

Despite injuries that cost him 21 games since 2020, Barkley has 5,211 rushing yards and a 4.3 average and 288 catches with 47 total touchdowns since his Pro Bowl rookie season in 2018.

That's not really that many missed games. 13, 16 and 14 the last three years so majority of them were in 2020.
