Well, he didn't have any quality receivers yesterday either. But yeah I assume we will hear how much pain he actually stayed in all season, including possible knee surgery (if only a "clean-up").

Not at all. He's probably not quite as serious a candidate as Gannon (after all, Arizona tampered to get at him, and hired him too). And possibly a Rooney Rule lip service move as much as anything. But that doesn't mean he isn't still well-regarded, both for his tutelage of Hurts (even as this year has not looked good on the larger level) and because the head coach skill set is largely unrelated to the coordinator skill set (and this team's problems this year seem to start well above his head, not on the chalkboard even if that hasn't been inspiring either).

Yes, with Brown definitely out, the Eagles are totally set up for a loss, especially with Hurts's hand. Unless the defensive scheme changes, this is a blowout in the making.

I'm hopeful Hurt is playing possum a little bit but throw in the injury to Smith, and, well, everything, but it's kind of amazing the Eagles are still favored on the road.

Derek Barnett had a great game with Houston tonight. Eagles cut him on Nov 24th and then went 2-5 (first win was OT vs the Bills). Pretty clear that he should be the league MVP.

Didn't seem to be much fake about it, you could see how bent the finger was! If the Cowboys hadn't started running away with that game he probably would have played.

Not only do the Eagles have a favorable matchup in this playoff game, if the Packers can hold on to beat the Cowboys the Eagles can avoid the 49ers in their second game.

Just need to get their heads out of wherever they have been. Hopefully get Slay and Cunningham back, maybe the defense will be less awful. Missing AJ Brown is very bad, but maybe makes them run the ball and actually commit to it.

It would be nice if this development energizes them, but it's also setting us up for even bigger disappointment if not.

I feel like a cowboys loss would soften the blow for me if the eagles lose. We would hear less noise.

Well you would think Nick's job security would be better than McCarthy's anyway.

Nice part is once again the Cowboys are eliminated before the Eagles. Even when they have left in the same round they always seem to have the earlier game the last few years.

This season obviously went south, but at least we don’t have to listen to the Cowboys. Now I just hope someone eliminates the 49ers (and of course the Eagles surprise us and win a few games)

Even if the Eagles were 0-17 this would be fun.

I guess I only care what happens to the 49ers if the Eagles can get to the NFC championship somehow. But for now would obviously take a game against Detroit or LA if they can turn thing around tomorrow. The clean slate is there if they can take advantage.
