I assume not many people are griping about this (unlike when a Phillies game is on Peacock) because most people have Prime (and also because it's still on free TV locally). I usually just get it a few months a year and probably couldn't score a trial but I'm sure other people in my house have it.

Anyone know why Nolan smith can’t get on the field? Would it be crazy to give him time at LB given the current situation? Isn’t he able to drop back in coverage or rush?

I saw him one last night. Was his main attribute in college, rushing the passer? The offensive tackles in the pros are, bigger, stronger and faster than the college lineman. I think he has to get used to the that. I see him getting more snaps as the year goes on. I think Reddick is warming up as well. he had a slow start last year. glad to see them pound the ball last night. nd that until hurts gets his rhythm back. kind of disappointed at AJ last night complaining, but I guess you want a receiver that really wants the ball. almost flipped the game. after his argument on the sidelines, the eagles changed their plan to what was working, to ge the ball to him. hurts' first pass to him on the sidelines was almost a pick six. then they want to him 2 more times. They will iron that out, but I hope they keep using that Oline to wear teams out.

At the game last night, had a blast.

Easily 95% or more Eagles Fans. I probably saw 10 Purple Jerseys (including my Brother In Law). 2 Drunken jerks were getting in Vikings fans face in section 225 where I was until 2 very large young guys told them to knock it off. How come behavior like that never makes the news. One lady even walked up to my Brother in Law and said "sorry for your loss, good game". The Media portrait is incorrect.

Hurts did not have a good game, made some mistakes, but once again did enough to win. He didn't lose, one really bad sack that cost us a FG. He needs to learn when they other team has a spy on him to take advantage of that, just another thing to learn that he will. 18-23, 193 yards a TD and a pick isn't bad.

Hurts interception was bad, but it was on 3rd and 15 and he was trying to force a bad throw. It was basically just a very short punt.

Sirianni remembered to run the ball. Swift had a team MVP performance, he bulldozed to 175 yards in the middle. Great, great game, Gainwell has been Wally Pipp'd.

Defense absolutely cannot cover anyone without Bradberry, Blankenship and Dean. Cunningham lead the team in tackles but he cannot cover any receiver, all he can do is tackle them. Jefferson has a great game over an overmatched Slay.

Eagles got close to killing Cousins a few times, lots of hits, but the dude is tough. Won't win you much, but is a very good regular season QB.

I didn't see the AJ Brown blow up, but had one last year, Hurts will handle it. I can't hate a guy for knowing he can help us win and isn't getting enough chances.

Goeddert, 6 catches, is still completely missing from the passing game. They need to get him down the field a little.

Smith. Great freaking game.

Covey. Time to go. Allen is a better threat, or pretty much anyone. Guy tries, but there just isn't anything there.

Siposs, good game last week, pretty bad this week.

Elliot. The stadium was almost torn down at halftime with the 61 yard FG. Honestly, I think he won the game for us, he was the big momentum guy, along with Swift. I don't know how they didn't block the 61 yd FG, it was very low, but absolutely crushed. He knew the only way to make it in the swirling wind was to drill it, and risk the block.

Referees were terrible. Missed holding calls on Vikes line over and over, one on a TD.

Sweat did his Reggie White imitation. He was all over Cousins.

Is Hassan Redick playing?

On the 61 yd FG:

I think a case can be made that was the most difficult FG in NFL History. It was VERY VERY windy (felt good in the stadium) and the wind was swirling in every direction. There have been a few longer kicks, but I doubt they were in conditions like that. At times there were 20mph gust (or more) and not in any particular direction. This was a 1-50 chance to make that kick in my opinion. He hit it way too low for safety and drilled it incredibly powerfully.

This is somewhere on the list of hardest kicks ever made, if not first.

Sounding like Avonte Maddox has a torn pectoral muscle, tests today.

Terrible how our injuries are all in one function. Ugly loss, we already are getting shredded in the passing game, after being the best pass defense last year in the league.

Hate to say it, but we probably need to look at making a trade.

Ringo? I just don't know that he is ready

Ricks? Looked great against guys that either aren't in the NFL or on practice squads. Can he cover NFL Receivers?

For pec tears a full rupture is 6 months following surgery, and slight tear is 4-6 weeks.

Luckily, our next 4 games has 3 very bad players QB (TB, Jets, Wash), but after that we are really going to need help. Ringo, Ricks and particularly Sydney Brown need to grow up incredibly fast. Our secondary is torched, Slay can only cover one guy, not 6. We don't have a single LB that can cover anyone, if you are dumb enough to run Cunningham and the DL will eat your lunch, but Cunningham can't cover anyone downfield (he is great on screens).

Maybe the next 4 weeks might fake us into believing the problem isn't that bad, but it is critical. It is going to take a veteran LB and DB time to get into the system, we need to find real help very, very soon.

Eagles sign former Jets punter Braden Mann. I think they might have 4 or 5 punters this year as they can only elevate them from the practice squad 3 times, Siposs still had one left, but almost anyone else would be better, we'll see how this one pans out...

Araiza must really not come off well in discussions or the teams must know something that the public doesn't. I get that he still has civil lawsuits, but I don't buy that alone would scare teams away. I also get that they don't want the hassle for just a punter, but there must be a real feeling that he is not someone they want around the team. He is CLEARLY a much better punter than all these guys despite very limited time in the NFL.

Eagles sign Covey to the active roster. It would have made slot more sense to try and poach a young CB or LB. Covey could still have been elevated one more time, and does he really need to return punts? He is e very good at it.

Not including Slay, Bradberry or Maddox, the Eagles have 4 young CBs on the roster already, a fifth on the IR and a sixth on the suspension list, plus two already on the PS. For the first time in....forever....they have a lot of spots allocated to potential at CB. I don't think that there is anyone floating out there at CB that could step in and surpass what they have on the roster already unless they make a trade. Anyone on someone else's practice squad is very likely to be a project. To fill the current hole they are more likely to sign Greedy Williams than go for a PS player.

Covey can catch punts, which is apparently not easy and something Allen can't even do. They probably don't have a better available option, so in the short term, this saves them one week of having to call up Covey, i'm sure in the long run they still see having Covey on the PS for one more call up as an option.

There are times I swear Aikman just thinks it is his turn to say something but he just can't form a thought. He just says words that don't make a sentence until Buck finally stops him.

Great QB, worst announcer (including Collingsworth, who may be insane but at least can form a thought, even if it is foolish).

It sent a Cowboy thing to me. Johnston is my favorite, he is insightful and explains things well.

Aikman sat there so , if X hadn't stopped Swift he would have gone the whole way. Then they cut away from him, where someone should have told him it was Gainwell had carried the ball. Then he said, if he had broken that he would have gone over 200 (still the wrong guy). Then he stumbled around as clearly someone was telling him that he had the wrong runner, so he just bumbled around words without making a sentence.
