LBs and DBs are now taught that if they are being stiff-armed they should grab the arm and rip it to the ground. In my humble opinion this should not be legal as it is extremely dangerous. If you say you want to protect players, I think this is just as dangerous as a horse-collar tackle.

Yes, but Goedert was down and his arm was still being wrenched until it broke. This wasn't simply counteracting a stiff-arm, it was a successful attempt to seriously injure.

I hope he does well. Honestly, maybe he grew up some, I hope so, what he has shown makes me think he was not able to be a backup (and apparently the league agreed), maybe reality has set in for him. He has the talent to start in the NFL, but he didn’t have the ability to lead, maybe that has changed.

LB Nakobe Dean going to the IR for the second time this season, this time with a Lisfranc sprain. Dallas Goedertt is also expected to be added to the IR.

Washington is signing practice squad guard/center Julian Good-Jones. This is the third offensive lineman signed off the Eagles PS in season, and the Eagles have lost a few others in the off season. This is the price they pay for developing lineman so well, and I’ve wondered if this will level the playing field on the brotherly shove techniques.

So we should see at least 3 signings to the PS soon and 2 promotions (or some other combination). Makes you wonder how many guys they have on their “when an opening happens”.

Is Suh still out there? Miserable human being, terrible player when he was younger, but he played well last season. DT isn’t really a need, but I have my doubts that Cox can finish the season. He seems to get hurt every game, I suspect he is hurt and just gutting through it, but honestly he is just getting old and there is a lot of wear on those impressive tires.

I don’t know that there is much in this guy or if we are this desperate for CB help. Would be nice to try and pick up some talent but honestly he seems to have trouble with being an NFL player and hasn’t been that impressive.

Our secondary needs a ton of help, but it needs better players not just a retread.

No interest. He is a bad apple, lots of history of conflicts with teammates and coaches--fined for not showing up for rehab, suspended from his college team, etc. Let someone else take a shot on him.

The eagles have a chance to be 8-6 coming out of the next stretch. or 10-4... or maybe even 13-1. I doubt they'll beat Dallas in Dallas. Dak can carve them up. Either way, Detroit is looking pretty good to have the home field advantage in the NFC playoffs. Can hurts stay healthy. we shall see. Monday night 31-20 Chiefs. hope not.

I met him in 2003 in Calgary when he was seeking medical help at the same chiropractor that I went to. Was funny, he was obviously a football player (dude was huge), but of course no one knew who he was. When they called his name I remembered him and later talked briefly with him. He enjoyed a pretty good career on the fringe of the CFL and I assume never gave up his true first love (pot).

Watching the Browns / Steelers game, can’t help but think that if we had somehow kept Jim Schwartz we would be prohibitive SB favorites. Imagine what he could do with the talent we have on the DL and maybe get some better LB and DB’s
