Eagles offense makes this a lot closer game than it should have been. Sirriani and Hurts need to knock off this Hurts is superman nonsense if he doesn't want his career to go the route of Wentz. He took too many hard hits running up the middle.

Yes, but the result is all that goes into the stats. Cowboys rallied to beat Houston last week and lose to Jacksonville in OT today. Not very impressive.

Justin Fields has a couple MVP's in his future. You can't even put a spy on him, there are no players that can contain him 1v1. Once he improves his pocket passing and gets better receivers he is going to dominate.

Hurts took some big hits today, I really think this was Sirianni's Worst game of the year. His plan was simply wrong, he should have been leaning on Sanders and the RB's, including activating Sermon for the game. His throw, throw, run Hurts plan was simply terrible.

So if the Eagles beat the Cowboys next week, they clinch the # 1 seed in the NFC. This year, only the # 1 seed gets a bye in the first round of the playoffs, so if they do beat the Cowboys, I would be a little leery about resting starers for the last two games because then rust would become a major concern. I would still play them for 3 quarters against the Saints and the first half against the Giants.

I would imagine you sit some guys against the Giants if it's done, though it may not be done for the Giants?

Any Eagles win in the last three games, or any Vikings plus Niners loss clinches the #1 seed. Their odds for that right now are about 99%. That leaves a 1/100 chance they don't get it, of course.

If the Eagles lose their last three, and Cowboys win out, why wouldn't the Cowboys win the East? They would only have one loss in the East - Eagles would have three losses.

If the Eagles do beat the Cowboys I think I'd be inclined to take the Saints game off but play everbody for almost all of the Giants game, given that we would then have a bye week. I do agree I wouldn't want to sit against the Giants and then also bave a byr week back-to-back.

I don't know the answer, but two Philly sites said one Eagles win or one loss by Minn and SF give the Eagles' #1 seed. They might be wrong; your argument seems sound.
