Eagles 2021-2022 Season

It sounds like they intend to pay the man, assuming all goes reasonably well over the next weeks. He's not gonna leave for less money, not even for Dallas. The only snag would be if he's annoyed they haven't met his price up to this point - but it was apparently a full-time starter, elite price.

I’m surprised that they haven’t put JJAW at TE. He’s big and can block. Not fast enough for WR routes in this League but would be fine at TE.

The Dolphins lost to the Jaguars in London, that pick is looking better and better.

If the season ended today, we’d have the #2 pick (Dolphins), the #7 pick (own pick) and the #8 pick (Colts).

I am keeping my expectations about the Miami pick in the corral a little bit. They still have games against the Falcons, Texans, Giants and 2 against the Jets.

Also I think "upsets" are less common in the NFL. The Eagles are a mediocre team this year. We've seen them win games against Atlanta and Carolina. I'd imagine they can pick up a few more wins against other mediocre and bad teams. If you were trying to be optimistic about the season you'd look at the schedule and say other than the Cowboys and Chargers, and maybe Raiders and Saints the remainder of the schedule looks winnable. I'd imagine they end the season with somewhere from 5-8 wins. Definitely a good pick but probably not the franchise altering pick you'd hope for.

Coaching staff out coached again. They accept a penalty to make 3rd and 15 instead of 4th and 3. The Raiders had already sent out the punt team, but we made the wrong call. Give up the long pass.

We don’t have the players to have a very good team, but it really hurts when our coaching staff is still learning.
Interception saves them.

Eagles defense making no plays. Lucky to get the one interception to stop a drive. Gannon refuses to pressure Carr, who has completed every pass (one was dropped and intercepted). Avery on the field for almost every play, but appears to be watching the game.

There just is no way to win like this. Bud Carson’s bend-but-don’t-break had its time (and he had incredible talent). Running that defense now is an awful idea, you have to pressure and force offenses to stop them. Sitting back leads to this.

What happened to McLeod? He wasn’t great, but he was competent. Now he seems to just be on the field. I don’t know if it is the incredibly passive scheme or the fact that he missed the preseason or he just doesn’t have the necessary athleticism anymore. Unfortunately Epps is even worse.

Nelson, Harris and Edward’s really stand out as unable to do anything. Cox is missing again.

Eagles Coaching staff doing a great job of making next years pick better for whoever is on the coaching staff next year. Don’t know if Sirianni will survive, but I can’t imagine that Gannon will.

You can't expect to stop a top QB playing prevent D the whole game, especially when you can't stop the run.

Whenever the Eagles try their screen game, the offense stalls, but our D can't handle screens.

Again, too many bad throws by Hurts.

Well, to be fair, it is hard for Hurts to get in a rhythm when it is 30 minutes between offensive drives because the defense can’t stop the other team.

If Driscoll hadn’t made a mistake on the snap.

If Hurts had somehow made a play on that same play.

Oh well, the Eagles were outplayed and as usual out scheme’d.

Currently looking at Pick 2 (Miami), Pick 6 (Eagles) and Pick 13 (Indy). That sort of range is probably the ideal area for the Indy pick. Still in the hunt for the division and wild card and Wentz playing reasonably well. Still a long way to go though and I still think the Eagles pick will end up lower down.

with consecutive loses to the Jags and Falcons, the Dolphins are setting us up early for a huge disappointment with a meaningless run later in the season

#Eagles cut LS Rick Lovato, per transaction wire. Lovato had been dealing with a hamstring injury.

Note: Philadelphia currently does not have any other long snappers on the active/practice rosters.
