Thats not good enough Malcolm. What happened to Silence is Violence? Why is racism only important when its against Black People?

I am not Jewish. I don't know a single Jewish person. I think all religion is bullshit. I am also supportive of the BLM movement (though I would not be out protesting at this time). I don't know how any one can see the words coming from this group of players and not denounce them strongly, its racism plain and simple. Malcolm hans't said anything racist here but hes showing a complete lack of empathy for a group that has seen historical discrimination. I'm done with him after this, as well as all the other players involved in this. Absolutely lost all respect for the lot of them, and I'm disappointed that no one from within the Eagles locker room has spoken out against this.

Agree this is not only obfuscation of what DJax did by Jenkins, but to draw a line between Blacks and Jews and say only black lives matter is deeply insulting. Curious how he never mentioned Farrakan at all, hmmm.

Remember, Malcolm, the first chant at the now infamous Charlottesville rally was: "Jews Will Not Replace Us!"

And also remember the mass shooting at the Pittsburgh synagogue that was totally based on hatred of Jews.

I have many Jewish friends and they routinely go through similar daily harassment that blacks endure as well in this country. People heckle and mock them all the time. One of my friends got tagged with the nickname of Schnoz at work and his bosses refused to do anything. He ended up beating up one of his tormentors and got fired.

The other issue further up the thread was to stand up against hatred, but ignore stupidity and ignorance. I could not disagree more. The stupidity and ignorance, when not confronted and people are informed, helps spread the hatred and gives it credence. Bigotry of every form DEPENDS on stupidity and ignorance. If everyone was informed as to the facts, bigotry would die on the vine and stay dead.

Unfortunately, our weak educational system and culture have produced an uninformed and, in some cases, willfully ignorant populace on issues of race (and many other things) and anyone who knows the facts needs to inform those folks before they help spread more lies, stupidity and hatred.

Eagles are re-signing nine-time Pro Bowl OL Jason Peters to a one-year deal, not to play tackle, but to play guard, per source. Eagles lost Pro Bowl RG Brandon Brooks to a season-ending torn Achilles, and now will turn to Peters to try to help replace him.

Jason Peters is signing a one-year deal worth up to $6 million that includes $3 million in guarantees, per source.

Peters is 38 years old and wants to play until he’s 40.

Great to have Peters back and I can’t think of a better coach to help Dillard excel.

I hope this completes Peters desire for playing. I doubt he plays many games but he will be a great mentor for the younger OL.

He may well be a good sounding board for a couple different guys but here's hoping he's too busy becoming an effective in-space OG to have much teaching time available.. A large part of me thinks he will be if he can handle all the extra trash rolling around his legs inside.

i was thinking the same thing parduke. moving inside there are a lot more legs and bodies that can be thrown around from either side and the rolling up on legs. if he can last his moving won't be a problem.

I think we still retain his rights for the season after the one (this year) which he opts out of.

I doubt that the 49er knew or suspected that America's response to the coronavirus was going to fail miserably in every way, coinciding with increased awareness about the fragility of Black lives and the exploitiveness of pro sports, culminating in what is likely to be a disaster of a season if there's any season at all. Nobody in the NFL had that mindset in April (and not many people in America did).

Though I suppose we talked a lot about whether the Eagles figured it would be a lost season when they picked Hurts.

And yeah, if he opts our or there's no season the Eagles didn't really lose anything. Hard to think it's going to matter in any case.

I actually like the Goodwin sit-out. We get the possibility of him filling a role when Alston is certainly gone and DJax is probably gone, we actually have a glut of WR for 2020 and might have cut him or had one of the rookies on IR with a boo-boo.

Of course not sure I think it matters because of COVID but tactically Goodwin is a better “hold” then play at the moment I think.

Football is such a grind and practices are so much higher risk than three weeks of baseball workouts (or even playing baseball games), why even put yourself through camp if you're not sure, or think it's doomed?
