The defensive backs would be less of an issue if the defensive line was putting pressure on the quarterback. That should be priority number one next off season. Meanwhile Schwartz needs to scheme blitzes to reduce the time the quarterback has to throw. Maybe the d-backs can blitz, since they can’t cover.

There really seems to be a lot of articles and innuendo recently, from former and current players, that the Eagles' locker room is, well, dysfunctional.

I'm hoping it's not the case, but what if Pederson has lost the team?

I can’t say Miles Sanders has been bad, but we really need to get him in the gym. I think he still has not broken a single tackle (I have missed some series in a few games). The first guy gets him way too often

The Eagles looks downright mediocre. Or, they are what their record says they are - perfectly mediocre. Let's not kid ourselves, this is not a SB caliber team.

Supposedly the pick was a 4th rounder. Not a great trade in my opinion. I thought a 6th or 7th rounder and was ok with that. A 4th rounder is a little steep.

Howie has certainly made his share of great moves, but a 4th round pick is too much for a future journeyman DE who is actually a bad fit for a 4-3 defense.

I would really like to see them extend a Jordan Howard. This guy is a very solid RB, I love guys that can get tough yards, and he really can. He and Sanders are a very good combination.

I know Howard isn’t going to come cheap, but I think we can still extend him this year and use some of this years cap (which we have space). The rules for that have changed as the left over cap moves to next year, but I think there is still value to getting the deal done this season.

Avery had a sack. The D-line looked good in the first half. I’ve been saying that the defensive problem was the line not putting enough pressure on the Q-back. That’s why they gave up the long pass play.

I saw a note a few weeks ago that Mike Wallace is available. I wonder if they don’t think about it just to find a field stretcher.

There is one FA wide receiver currently looking for an opportunity who I would classify as a difference maker. But, do we really want the Eagles to sign Antonio Brown?.

Good idea or not the question is will the NFL actually attempt to finish its investigation before the season is over. And if they do will he ever be available to play?

Seems like we already have a bit of a "questionable" locker room with some players maybe bad mouthing each other to the press (maybe it was just Scandrick). I dont want anything to do with a loose cannon like Brown.

The simple fact is that the division is ours for the taking, even with Dallas a game ahead.

We have 4 laughable games (Miami, Giants x2, Skins). That is 9 wins
We have to beat Dallas at home to talk about the playoffs, so that becomes the 10th win.

Maybe we get lucky against NE or Seattle, but I wouldnt think so.

I sure would like to see them steal one of those games. Having the entire season come down to beating Dallas and a road game in the Meadowlands against a bad but likely improving divison rival doesn't seem like a clear path to me. And if they can't beat Seattle or NE at home they're probably not going to win a playoff game on the road.

Eagles release Sendejo just in time to allow them to still receive a conditional 4th round pick next year.
