The Eagles actually outgained them 425-310. The problem was that we were 0-3 in the Red Zone (and stalled at least 2 other times just outside the red zone) while Seattle was 3-3. We actually moved the ball pretty well, but mistakes really hurt. We might have seen this coming a little as we made the same type of mistakes against the Bears, but they were so bad we got away with it.
Tough game against a solid team in one of the toughest places around to win. If we had a couple breaks go our way and did not make the mistakes the game is very different, but we got behind and Seattle took advantage.
Pederson was BADLY outcoached. I have no clue what he was doing before halftime, let the clock run down from 2 minutes and then got in a weird situation. Still, with 13 seconds to go he should have gone for it from the 40-whatever of Seattle. Even if we turn it over all Seattle could do was a Hail Merry, whereas if we have completed a pass (had timeouts left) we could have gotten a FG attempt. He isnt good at this type of thing. Pederson just made every decision incorrectly it seemed, including play calling that seemed to ignore our 2 best receivers in the first half. He also completely messed up a challenge he didnt make that was VERY obvious that eventually resulted in a TD that put the team down 14 in the 4th quarter. If he challenges we get the ball back down 7. Bad game.
