Eagles RB depth better then any other team. Ajayi/Blount/Clement/Barner/Smallwood. That's 5 legit RBs you can rotate. Keeps them fresh down the stretch and great for in-game change of pace.

They have 3 TEs, all of whom can catch passes and/or block.

No true #1 WR, but they have 3 guys that are all pretty good, 1 of whom (Smith) can stretch the field, and the other (Jeffrey) who is big enough for the jump balls.

I'm not saying they'll get to where we want them to get to, but they are a good team.

Not true. Peters was playing at an all-pro level this year before being hurt, especially in the running game.

i agree PC. he was playing at a very high level before he got hurt. big V is learning every week and getting better. it's a good thing that he had those 10 games to play last year to prepare. they might be able to do something this year. i'd at least like to see a step up and playoff game this year. there will not be much of a change next year. they have to rely on the growth of current players as they won't have much of an influx of new ones next year.

Although they currently have the best record in football and are playing like the best team, this year the NFC is like the Western Conference in the NBA--the Saints, Rams, Seahawks, Falcons, and Vikings are all good-to-very-good teams that will make it quite difficult to get through the NFC playoffs, especially if we don't get home field and a bye.

I guess I'd say that I like our chances on the road against the Saints, Vikings and Rams more than I like the Saints, Vikings or Rams chances in Philadelphia in the 3rd week in January. But we've got to keep winning games to get that HFA.

Maybe it is expectation, but I remember seeing his guy get to the QB often this season. He has regressed in my opinion, not an insult still a HOF player but honestly I would rather see him moved inside to Guard if he is going to be back next year. He just doesnt have the same ability to hold off outside rushers he once had, he is still faster than he seems like he should be but quick movements seem to really defeat him now too often.

Not really important to my point, which was that the OL was able to absorb the loss of Peters because it was a team strength. The other 4 OL have been playing at a high level, with 3 of them being reasonable to show up at the Pro Bowl in my opinion, so losing Peters, while Vaitai is a drop off, was not that bad.

I'm not buying the teams can't win in Philly in January after seeing teams like Tampa Bay come in and do that. Hoping the Eagles will prove me wrong eventually.

you got that right eastie. i was there for the last eagles play off game when Brees picked apart the eagles to get his team into the game winning field goal range. it didn't bother them to be in philly. reluctantly, i can still see riley cooper dropping that crossing pattern pass from Foles. he'd still be running, 3 years later, if he had caught that. that NO field goal would have meant nothing.

It was a strange play in that he really was untouched and just got caught by faster players. You or I could have run through that hole

Ho Hum, 10 - 1.

Didn't play that well and still thumped the Bears 31-3. Now it gets interesting, next three games on the road @ Seahawks, @ Rams, @ Giants. I think if they beat the Seahawks and stay healthy from here on out, they might run the table.

A lot of credit to Howie, Doug, and all of the coaching staff -- this team has fairly consistently out-performed expectations. Who thought we'd be anywhere close to 10-1 at this point in the season?

Scary things about the Bears' game (there weren't many...):

Vaitai had a bad game. Receivers had some pretty easy drops. We were careless with the ball, putting it on the ground when we shouldn't have. Another long kickoff return. Didn't take advantage of the Bears' poor punt coverage unit.

Great to beat a team by 30 and still not have played particularly well.

The offense was sloppy, but effective also, against a fairly bad team.

The defense however had a great, great game. The Bears came in as one of the best running teams in the league and the Eagles held them (and an all pro RB) to 6 yards rushing. There wasnt even a hint that they could run the ball at all. The secondary had a great game jumping almost every throw and not letting any reciever take more than a step or two after catching the ball.

When the game was still in doubt the Bears had 0 first downs (for all of the 1st half). That is complete dominance that is worthy of the 1991 team.
