It seems pretty clear that they didn't want Nelson to face the top of the Braves' lineup with a 1-run lead.

My concern is that changing pitchers every inning will bring in the pitcher that doesn't have it today. Not sure who comes in next but suspect Robertson gets the 9th if not coming in here in the 8th.

But it is Robertson in the 8th.

A two out walk followed by a first pitch double puts Braves on second and third with two outs.

Acuna pinch hits and gets the IBB to load the bases.

Robertson gets the called K to end the inning but not before a wild pitch allows the Braves to tie the game.

Robertson with the Blown Save. Two walks and a wild pitch due him (and the Phillies) in that inning.

...and it starts with the two out walk.

How is it possible that before this game David Robertson had a .2.66 era in his time with the Phils? After his first appearance every other game has seemed like a flood of base runners and disappointment.

Once upon a time, Segura would almost certainly had the bunt sign in the bottom of the 8th, after the lead off single. Marsh likely drives in Bohm with his solid hit to center.

But today, Segura tries for the home run.

A one out walk. Pitches were close but Harris was not swinging. Walks already have hurt the Phillies today. Hope this one does not.

Pitch framing is really a lost art. Catchers everywhere are jerking their glove i to the zone instead of a little rotation of the wrist putting most of their mitt in the zone.

Two well hit fly balls to the outfield but no runs. A two out walk did not lead to a run as it did when Robertson issued the walk in the top of the 8th.

Strong inning from Eflin. Gets the Braves out 1-2-3 without letting the ghost runner move from second.

Hope this is our walk off inning.

Thomson slowly moving all our regulars out of the lineup. Schwarber last inning, Hoskins here as he is pinch run for as the ghost runner on second.

Bohm down swinging at a high fast ball.

Segura grounds to third, force out at third, beats throw to first.

Marsh flies to left to end the inning.

Those 2 runs gifted to the Braves in the first when Marsh lost the ball on what should have been an easy out to end the inning, sure hurt this game. Still, hoping for a win in extra innings.
