There are a fair number of tickets, and the mark-up for 3-400 levels doesn't even feel that insane if they were over $100 to begin with (compared to the mark-up for the better seats). I always preferred to do the last-minute street hustle myself, sometimes you'd find a fan with an extra and sometimes you'd get to squeeze a scalper. Not sure if/how that can be done in the mobile-only era (the fan part, sure, the scalper seems more complicated. And it's still technically illegal on stadium grounds, not sure where that boundary actually is).

I'm kind of torn as I was hoping to go Sunday but that could be the toughest ticket, whether it's a 2-2- series or a potential clincher (for the Phillies, let's not contemplate the other). The weather Philsmania mentioned would definitely be my friend though (that's also how I saw the second half of Game 5 in '08). But with an afternoon game I would think they play it, however long it takes.

The question for me is if Saturday prices will go down Saturday to the same level today's are currently at. I kind of think not, more people can go on a Saturday.

Also, I know it is not in vogue to like baseball announcers especially not local ones (RIP Harry & Whitey), but I have enjoyed Smoltz and Davis quite a bit on these broadcasts. Smoltz is quite good with the analysis and Davis largely stays out of the way with understated play-by-play and some good calls.

I agree. I've thought a few times how Smotlz has done a good job analyzing a given situation, and Davis has gone mostly unnoticed by me - which is normally a compliment for national PBP'ers.

World Series is hard to change even though they could claw back the couple of days it is delayed from the normal schedule. Not just the TV. I imagine there are lots of planned events and guests World Series week just like the Super Bowl these days.

The rest will help both teams if we get to that point. Or the rust will hurt everybody.

The current schedule means Wheeler and Nola would be lined up for games 1 and 2 regardless of how deep the NLCS goes, unless they have to use either in relief after their starts

Losing excellent assistant coaches is a perennial problem in football, but I've not worried so much about it in baseball. Long and Wathan are probably exceptions where I actually would worry.

On another note; if Long and Wathan go on to have success, are they part of Rob Thompson's coaching tree?
