Post season bracket as it stands. Looks like there are a couple of off days before the NL Wild Card begins.
With that in mind, if I am reading this correctly then the Phillies could pitch Wheeler and Nola in the Rays series and assuming the make it to the playoffs go Eflin, Wheeler, Nola. Its not ideal but its not terrible either. They are the three guys you want to see in a 3 game series. Assuming it went 3 games and the Phillies progress you'd then be looking at Eflin, Wheeler, Nola, Arrietta? Howard/Velasquez in the NLDS.
Then getting really far ahead of myself Wheeler, Nola, Eflin, Arrietta? Howard/Velasquez, Wheeler, Nola in the NLCS. I'm not sure of the off day schedule in the WS. You might be able to get Nola for games 3 and 7 on regular rest with Wheeler in game 4 and Eflin in games 1 and 5.
In a theoretical world where the Phillies play the maximum amount of games along the way to the WS you get Nola 6 times, Wheeler and Eflin 5 times and Arrieta/Velasquez/Howard/??? 6 times whether you play Nola and Wheeler in the Rays series or not. Of course you are hoping that series are ended in the Phillies favour before reaching the maximum, and having them pitch later in each series hurts your chances of getting to them in the first place.
All of this assumes the bull pen miraculusly becomes competent and all our injured players return in time and play up to their ceiling.
