Thanks, I missed that. High school masher Blaze Jordan is really interesting- he’s reclassified to graduate early, and I would think he’d be gone before #15 but I don’t get the sense from what I’ve read so far that he’s considered a clear cut top 10 guy yet.

For you draft types:

Seems to me very likely that the Phillies forfeit their 2nd and maybe 3rd round picks for free agents (I’d expect them to sign Hamels plus maybe one of Cole, Strasbourg, Orodizzi). What do the Phils do then? Go all in for a guy who is overslot or try to get several lesser types before Rd. 11? History says the latter, correct?

You think Hamels will have a QO? While he does want to hit the market and get some security, he'd also have to consider taking it. Cubs may not want to risk that (even though it would be a pay cut).

Same question about Odorizzi.

I think one pitcher and one position player more likely, the latter might not have a QO either (if it's Moustakas, for instance, or a lesser piece. If it's Rendon, obviously he's getting one).

I’m a big UL fan and Detmers could be the real deal. He can work both sides of the plate with his fastball (it isn’t overpowering but has some run on it). His curveball is filthy. He is up and down with a changeup and slider but if one of those comes along, he could have a Nola like trajectory without as much upside in my opinion. He’s a lefty which is a plus too.
