All managers have too much faith in their relievers it seems.

Ginkle was a mess in his second inning but got the job done. But Sewald finally cracked. Twice.

I'd like to think the Phillies made sure Texas didn't take them lightly.

But the Rangers were also 11-0 on the road. Amazing.

Also we kept hearing how Schwarber was the new Reggie Jackson but turns out Corey Seager is the new Reggie Jackson (two-time WS MVP)

Pretty amazing they just closed it out on the road after losing Garcia for two games.

I'm pretty sure Josh Sborz is what some might call a bullpen "project."

With the Rangers winning the World Series, there are now just 5 teams left that have not won a World Series and only one of those has never been to a World Series.

Nathan Eovaldi is 1 of 10 pitchers to start 6 games in a single postseason (Gallen is another of those 10)

he’s the 1st to have his team win all 6

It's pretty wild, obviously the Texas teams are basically teenagers compared to the Phillies and Cubs and Red Sox and others, but having grown up with that Philadelphia sense of futility and stories of '64 and even, more recently, the 10,000 losses, the reality is I still saw us a win a World Series in 1980 while the people I've been friends with since first moving to Texas in 1990 had never experienced that until 2017 and now.

Seems that they guarded the pool even though some team higher up said any winning team could use it. Anyway well done Rangers, I just could not cheer for the NL team. February can’t come soon enough

I kind of liked seeing Arizona get shut down but it doesn't really make me feel better. I'd rather lose to the eventual champions (and see them come out of our league almost any time. Yeah, even the dang Braves).

That's my feeling as well. Rooting against the team that knocked yours out of the playoffs is, in my opinion, petty and, yes, it looks better to lose to the team that no one else could beat. And, yes, NL pride

Well I guess I’m petty by your definition. No need for me to list my reasons to be happy for the Rangers winning.

I was still rooting for the Rangers on behalf of my friends. Don't know any Diamondbacks fans except for one guy who only just moved there from DC.

Rangers also wound up being the ex-Philly team. Brad Miller, Jankowski. Will Venables. Also always liked former Princeton basketball player Chris Young (we got the wrong Chris Young!) And Josh Bonifay gets a ring before Preston Mattingly. Also Mike Maddux has been coaching for a looooonnnnng time (in the minors and the majors) and never won a ring as a player or a coach. That's pretty awesome, especially since he was also the Rangers' pitching coach last time they made it.

I can also get my dose of petty from the fact that DeGrom and Scherzer got rings but not for the Mets.

It seems obvious now what the most important signing is for the Phillies this off-season...get Will Smith...guaranteed World Series championship in 2024, just like his last 3 teams. No need to worry about the other moves.
