Two observations about 'last visit'

One of the things I like about the new board is that when I visit a discussion (like the Phan Phorum), the 'last visit' horizontal line that appears between posts shows me what's been posted since I last visited the board. I have a couple of suggestions that would make it much more useful for me and probably others.

The first is to show the line in a different color. For me, it's a pale color (salmon?) on a gray background. It's barely visible; I really struggle to see it. I'm slightly colorblind so that might have something to do with it.

The other thing I've noticed about that line is that it is tied to a device rather than to my account. For example, if I visit the phorum on my laptop at 3PM and my iPad at 6PM, then again on my laptop at 9PM, the 'last visit' line is below the posts made since that device last visited (3PM) instead of when I (DurhamBull) last visited at 6PM. That undermines its usefulness to me since I regularly switch back and forth between devices.

I'm not sure how easy it is to change these, nor how inclined you are to do so, but I thought I'd mention them.

The weird color I can fix (have fixed). That's a matter of finding the relevant code in the CSS Stylesheet and adding custom code to change it.

The behavior (device vs. account)? Don't know where to begin, at this point. I'll try to do some research on that, but it looks like a sticky wicket...

Agreed that the device vs. account thing is likely to be harder to sort. My guess is that it is implemented as a browser cookie whereas to tie it to an account they would need to implement it in the server-side database.

I'm open to suggestions as to what color that dividing line should be. I opted for black as a Q&D, because I knew it would show up, and (mostly) because I knew the six-digit color code for black off the top of my head! But if users think something else would be good, I'll listen to suggestions (changing it now that the code is done would be trivial).
